Applying for New Service to a Property Not Previously Served
Applicants for a new service in this category should contact the District's Business Office (505) 466-1085. You will need to complete a Request for Beginning Reading/Transfer of Account form.  

Transferring an Account Into Your Name

If you have moved or are about to move to a property with water service provided by EAWSD, to ensure uninterrupted service, please call Customer Service at (505) 466-1085 to have the account(s) transferred into your name. You will be asked to complete a Request for Beginning Reading/Transfer of Account form.

Rental Property
Renters will be asked to show a copy of their rental or lease agreement.

For all rental properties within the District's service area, the monthly bill is sent to the renter; however, the Owner of Record is ultimately responsible for water charges to the property.  

Transfer of Property Ownership
When ownership of property is transferred, the water service must be transferred from the seller to the buyer.  The new owner will need to complete a Request for Beginning Reading/Transfer of Account form.  And the new owner will need to show proof of ownership (either the official transfer of ownership received from the title company, or the property settlement agreement.

All Applicants
All applicants are asked to show proof of identification (e.g., driver's license or photo ID).

All applicants for service will be charged a $100 deposit.  This deposit will be refunded when you move or sell the home, provided the final bill is paid in full.
